Constipation in Women
Constipation happens regardless of age and gender, but women and the elderly tends to get more constipation issue more often than everyone else. Problems with old age might not really raise an eyebrow, but saying the numbers of constipation women are higher than men might sound like a sexist statement. You may think that it is bad enough that you have to go through menstruation and pregnancy without having to add in constipation problem.
Stress Can Cause Women Constipation
Women, in particularly housewives, have bigger responsibilities than men. They have the house to clean up, groceries to buy, driving the kids to school, meals to prepare and clothes to wash and fold. Then when the husband comes back to work, it usually means there is just one more person they have to take pay attention to. All these contribute to the stress that causes hormone imbalance and that leads to constipation. Not to mention that the housewives always skip going toilet because there is no time to spend more than a few minutes in the toilet.
Hygiene is A Contributing Factor To Women Constipation
Another factor contributing to constipation women is their hygiene. Women are generally pickier about their toilet than men and would not use the toilet if it was dirty. They rather hold it in until they can find a cleaner toilet or go home to their comforts of their own toilet. This situation happens a lot, especially to women tourist. Not all countries have clean public toilets for tourists, in fact most countries in the world have poorly maintained toilets, so women tourist rather finish their sight seeing first before going back to their hotel room for their bowel movements.
Surveys and statistics have shown that pregnant women are actually more likely to get constipation problem than normal women. When pregnant women goes on for days without bowel movement for any reasons, this can cause the hemorrhoids inside rectal to enlarge. That will cause pregnant women to feel pain during bowel movement and can cause them to abandon it half way. The result is stools are still being kept inside while more are being produced which leads to constipation.
In the end, women need to be extra careful when it comes to watching their bowel movement. There are so many factors contributing to constipation and they face them every day in their lives.
Steps you can take to avoid becoming constipation women:
· always allocate some time in the morning or during the day to go to the toilet
